Sends WhatsApp messages through the Gupshup Multi-Platform API (the current Gupshup offering).
Prerequisites at Gupshup
- A Gupshup account with a WhatsApp Business app created and your sender number registered.
- An approved message template for that app.
- The app’s name and your account API key from the Gupshup dashboard.
Configure EvTrack
On Configuration > Server Settings > WhatsApp:
- Set Gateway to Gupshup Business API.
- Set Sender Number to the registered business number (international format).
- Fill App Name and API Key.
- Map the template variables to the sources your approved template expects (the default mapping is visitor full name, company, start date-time, end date-time, access type, reason, location).
- Save, then test-send to your own WhatsApp number.
Notes
- The template’s variable count must match the mapping - unused trailing variables should be set to Not Used.
